In Taiwan, while compulsory education is widely accessible, inequality in education still exists among diversities. Many disadvantaged children still lack sufficient resources and steady family support—partially due to the fact that their caregivers were to work long hours, thus leaving them without after-school supervision—proper nourishment for their physical and mental development.
To address this need, the Foundation established Papa’s Pad – P³ Zone Planning Practice and Play in 2013 as an after-school support center for children.
Working in partnership with local elementary schools, Papa’s Pad – P³ Zone provides a safe, nurturing space for children from underserved families during the hours between school dismissal and share closureHere, children have a “home after school” where they can comfortably enjoy a snack complete homework, play games, and nourish their mental development in activities.

Elementary schools play a central role in providing foundational education and shaping children’s daily learning and development. In partnership with selected elementary schools across Taoyuan City and New Taipei City, the Foundation has established Papa’s Pad – P³ Zone after-school support centers directly on campus.
Through these collaborative school partnerships, children continue learning and exploring in a familiar environment, while educators, caregivers, and our team work closely together to identify and nurture each child’s unique abilities and potential.

Papa’s Pad – P³ Zone provides after-school care and support services for elementary school children from low-income or disadvantaged families who are facing challenges at home. A variety of developmental activities are designed to help strengthen and support children’s growth.
Service Hours
The main service hours are 12:30–18:00 on weekdays. Some locations also offer half-day or full-day summer programs, ensuring that children continue to learn, grow, and feel supported during the summer break.
Homework Support
Homework support is the starting point for helping children build self-discipline and take responsibility for their own learning. We encourage children to plan their own schedules, set their pace, and check their work independently—allowing them to discover mistakes, identify solutions, and strengthen their ability to manage themselves.
Nutritious Snacks
We help children replenish the energy and nutrients they need between lunch and dinner. Partnering with local food vendors near each service site, we prepare snacks based on the developmental needs of the children, ensuring both nutrition and variety—providing an energy source for their physical strength and learning.
Enrichment Activities
We believe every child is unique. To inspire children to discover and develop their abilities, we design a wide range of theme-based programs tailored to their interests and environment. Through activities such as art, crafts, music, games, and reading, children learn about themselves and build confidence. Physical activity time is also incorporated to strengthen their bodies and support emotional well-being.
Quality time
Quality time at Papa’s Pad is a special moment designed to strengthen trust and connection between adults and children. Just like communicating with an important guest, we joined our children in discussion as equals—treating them with the hone styand respect as we would offer any valure guests , asking what they would like to do, and discussing what we can “accomplish together.” Through these shared moments, children feel valued, cared for, and truly seen.
